Originally from Australia where she was working as energy healer and sacred space facilitator. Aurora now focuses on facilitating longer shamanic immersions for people who are drawn to go deeper into the Amazonian plant medicine studies. Participating in ceremonies as a young child, Aurora was first exposed to Ayahuasca at the age of 15, shortly after that being called to the deep Amazonias of Peru to explore the healing properties of Amazonian Plants and begin to live with the native tribes. Since 2012 she has been revisiting the Amazon basin, studying Shipibo shamanism. Her journey has led her to a small Shipibo village on the Ucayali river. Where she now permanently bases herself and has integrated into the Shipibo culture and way of life. The birth place of Tribal Vision, a non-profit organisation she has established to support this community. Where with their permission she has opened the opportunity to visit, live and study amongst this tribe. She is passionate about offering this bridge from the west to the ancient ways, a platform where people can come and practice traditional ceremonies in a safe contained space. She believes that by having this platform it is an opportunity to give back to the traditional people by supporting their art, their customs and general survival.
Ayahuasca and Shipibo Plant Spirit Shamanism
Ayahuasca is a hallucinogenic plant medicine native to the Amazon Rainforest. In this lecture we will dive deep into the different ways of use and practice of this sacred sacrament. Ayahuasca has been traditionally used for healing by native tribes in ceremonies and rituals dating back 70, 000 years inside the Amazon basin. The Shipibo tribe is one of the largest tribes residing within the Amazon consisting of 40,000 inhabitants. The Shipibo are known world wide as some of the most powerful healers and keepers of the ancient knowledge of plant medicine. Aurora will share knowledge and wisdom attained from her extensive apprenticeship of plant spirit shamanism spanned over 5 years of residing with the Shipibo people. We will discuss the fundamental aspects of Ayahuasca ceremony, master plant diets, safety, preparation, integration and facilitation.
