(Note, applying this year for downtempo, lo-fi or chill/dubby/2-steppy dubstep style set depending what's required - not our usual DNB) De La Haye & Kosha D (Junkyard Soundsystem) Individually, De La Haye and Kosha D have been flying the Drum and Bass/Jungle flag in Brisbane since the early noughties. De La Haye orchestrated seminal nights Junglettes and Rukus for numerous years, whilst Kosha D was part of the Moon Bar rinsing Phat alBeats crew. Sharing similar tastes with the deep, funky and dubby vibes, relaxed attitudes, and an obscure yet elaborate sense of humour, the two joined forces to form the Junkyard Sessions monthly. Eight years later and Junkyard Sessions is still running strong. Calling Rumpus Room in West End home for three years, Junkyard has showcased a wide range of local, interstate and international DJs and producers, as well as playing internationally together at the 2018 renowned Sun and Bass Festival in Italy. Like porcupines and balloons... cats and laser pointers, or, drum and bass, the Junkyard duo compliment each other perfectly. Twisting and turning through the gamut of sonic shades of Drum and Bass, Jungle & broken beats, De La Haye and Kosha D keep one another in check. Like a game of volcano tennis, Junkyard could explode at any moment.
