When the island rhythms of Caribbean zouk music fuse with jazzy Brazilian soul journey to the birthplace mountains of Aboriginal reggae end up mingling with a tropical hip hop style mixed with a twist of New Zealand roots you get ...... SOLUA. Led by the bedazzling Melissa Cambon, SOLUA's music draw heavily from her colourful experiences growing up with the folk musics of Guadalupe in the French Caribbean, and from her mother's love of Brazillian music. Her long time collaborator Isaac Crowley grew up steeped in the roots music, playing and travelling with the Zennith tribe. They have been joined frequently with Brisbane based musicians dave, nick and morgan, playing shows up and down the coast, including main stage performances at Island Vibe and Mardigrass
