After the success of our inaugural EFF Grounded Permaculture Retreat in 2017, we are excited to announce it is happening it again in 2018!
Designed to give a small group of participants a solid grounding in a broad range of areas based on projects happening on site, this workshop program is for those looking to free themselves of the corporate kleptocracy and sink their roots deep into radical self determination and productive land regeneration.
A collaborative partnership between Earth Frequency Festival, Grounded Permaculture Action Party and Peak Organics at Ivory Rock the five day program will cover:
Holistic Farm Planning using The Regrarians Platform®
Permaculture Ethics, Principles & Techniques
Bio-Dynamic & Organic Farming
Volunteer & Community Based Farming
Darren J. Doherty (Regrarians)
Darren J. Doherty has extensive experience across the world in project design, development, management & training. A career-long focus on the profitable & regenerative retrofit of broadacre landscapes has seen Darren acclaimed as a pioneer in this important & often overlooked field.
Darren is the originator of the Regrarians Platform® process which outlines a strategic & logical process to the development of regenerative agricultural systems. The 2nd #REX Online Farm Planning Program is underway with Peak Organics as one of the participant projects in the course.
With the Rex Online Farm Planning Program finishing in the week of this permaculture retreat, we thought it only fitting to invite Darren (and he happily agreed) to spend a full day onsite to introduce participants to the Regrarians Platform®, review the farm plan developed during the Rex Program, do a site 'walk and talk', and workshop ideas on how to improve the weakest links for Peak Organics.
Dick Marriot (Ivory's Rock, Biodynamic Growers Australia)
The Queensland representative of the Biodynamic Growers Association, and Ivory Rock employee with a long history of holistic land management. Over the years Dick has overseen many of the regeneration projects on site as well as assisting in Peak Organic Farm through their conversion to Biodynamic Certification.
As part of the workshops, Dick will be running a half day Biodynamic Composting' workshop, and a practical presentation of 'Leaky Weirs' as a method of creek flow restoration and land regeneration.
Young Erin (Pollinator Books)
A whole systems designer, facilitator & pollinator, Erin is a change-maker for healing & change in our world. Grounded in the sovereign right of each human being as a co-creator, Erin's mission is supporting change agents to achieve their visions for a healed world through dynamic systems & approaches.
Erin will be facilitating People Care workshops throughout the week providing an experiential and interactive insight to understanding the personalities in groups and organisations, how to utilise their strengths, support their challenges, and help them get what they need to be empowered and effective in collectively achieving the group’s dreams and visions.
Rupert Faust (Grounded Permaculture Action Party)
A self-confessed jack of all trades and master of nothing but his curiosity, Rupert is as good with his hands as he is with his head. An Environmental Engineer, Permaculture Designer, Dancefloor Groover, Mother Earth Worshiper and all round producer, Rupert is a specialist in high level conceptual planning and connecting seemingly abstract dots to fuse together the worlds of technical design and creative imagination.
Founding the Grounded concept and workshop program, Rupert will be covering the introduction class of Permaculture Ethics, Principles, Context & Techniques
